Post release of her album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, Halsey is back with another concept driven video.
Debuting the music video for her current single “Bad At Love,” a reverse love story showcases her various accounts of love when what was destroyed couldn’t be rekindled.
The Video
As the video begins, Halsey is pictured as a biker chick paired with her other bad to the bone companions who didn’t appear fond of her at first. However, with ease, Halsey is quickly sworn in as one of the girls.
Connecting the premise of her album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, Halsey includes visuals of the playing cards she previously used from her album art— seen in her video for “Now Or Never.”
After an interview with Billboard, Halsey said she wanted the song to feel like Leonardo DiCaprio in Romeo + Juliet – top down, wind in the hair, without a care in the world.
Mirroring the concept of Romeo + Juliet, Halsey mimics the fast paced beginning of the movie flawlessly, adding her own simple yet fun and exhilarating twist to the ending.
